Soybean is one of the most traditional and significant Asian cuisine components. It contains no cholesterol, low in saturated fat and high in polyunsaturated fats, provides very high quality protein, rich in calcium and dietary fiber. Due to its nutritious uniqueness, it plays a very important role in women's health. Extensive scientific studies reveal that soy & soy products can lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis, and breast cancers.

Soy can reduce risk of heart diseases for women

Woman with high cholesterol levels has a high risk of developing heart disease.
Woman's risk of heart disease is doubled if she smokes, consumes a large amount of alcohol and is overweight or obese.
The risk of heart disease increase for post-menopausal women.
Diets low in saturated fat & cholesterol along with an intake of 25 grams of soy protein daily in the diet show significant cholesterol lowering effect.

If lactose intolerance, a cup of calcium fortified soy milk is a good alternative.
