A Wok is what you need
In any Chinese kitchen you will find a wok - the most
simple and important tool used in Chinese cooking. It is
a very functional all-round cooking utensil that can replace
a dozen pots and pans. Almost any cooking method can be
done in a wok from stir-frying, pan-frying, deep frying,
blanching, braising and even steaming.
Woks come in a wide range of sizes and materials. If you
are a total novice in the kitchen, maybe buy one with a
non-stick surface. The traditional round-bottomed woks can
be used with a ring stand that sits on a gas burner (ask
your local supplier).
