July 24, 2003 - Hong Kong. Lee Kum Kee has once again being voted as one of the top 20 Asian Brands by consumers according to the second annual Top Asian Brands poll. Lee Kum Kee is "one of the small handful of consumer goods products that is ranked in the top 20... largely on the basis of a strong performance in value for money, quality and popularity scores" - according to Media Magazine.
Over 5000 MEDIA subscribers were invited via email between May 16 and 23, 2003 to participate in the poll where a list of 40 brands was developed, based on 3 main criteria: origination in Asia-Pacific, previous results in the Asian Brands poll and level of recent marketing spend as assessed by Optimum Media Direction (OMD). The brands were evaluated according to familiarity, value for money, quality, popularity, vision, innovation, youthfulness and the brands success in the marketplace.
