The
Chinese eating culture has thousands of years of history. All Chinese cuisines
have their own history, evolution and fascinating tales. Lee Kum Kee specially
sponsored the latest programme for Asia Television Ltd (ATV) - "Eight
Famous Chinese Cuisines" where viewers are able to learn cultural history
and gain more experience and understanding towards Chinese eating culture.
With this sponsorship, Lee Kum Kee is able to further enhance its corporate
mission: "to promote Chinese gourmet cuisine around the world".

The
programme premiers on July 13, 2003 and will be broadcasted every Sunday
at 8:00pm. There is a total of 26 episodes which introduce cuisines from
8 different provinces: Chuan (Sichuan), Lu (Shandong), Su (Jiangsu), Zhe
(Zhejiang), Min (Fujian), Yue (Guangdong), Hui (Anhui), and Xiang (Hunan)
respectively. This programme carries an interesting angle on the effects
of geographical factors, weather and social niches towards Chinese cuisines.
