Hong Kong/Massachusetts ... (April 9, 2008) Mr. Lee Man Tat, Group Chairman of Lee Kum Kee, is inducted into Babson Collegeˇ¦s Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs (ADE). Lee Kum Kee is a renowned international Chinese sauces and condiments brand which markets a wide range of savory products to more than 100 countries and regions in the world. Lee Kum Kee is the first Chinese business to receive this award.
The ADE was established in 1978 by Babson College (www.babson.edu). Since its inception, the academy has recognized and honored many of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world. Inductees are chosen not only for outstanding business accomplishments in their fields, but also for their contributions to society. Academy members represent companies that are highly regarded in their industry and household icons in their culture. They have capitalized on the need for change, accepted the associated risk and responsibility, and made an impact on the world. The energy and innovation embodied by these individuals will be realized and applauded for many generations to come. |

| Speaking at the induction ceremony, Mr. Lee said, "I am honored and thrilled for being bestowed the ADE award by Babson College. My grandfather invented oyster sauce and my father ventured the business overseas. After taking over the chairmanship in 1972, I started to diversify, popularize and internationalize our products. My business philosophy is that "We should always be ready to change to cope with the changing world". |
