The 20th Anniversary of the China Cuisine Association (CCA) was held in April 2007 in Beijing with more than a thousand guests attended the Celebration Conference and Dinner on April 20 at the Great Hall of the People. As the sponsor of the event, Lee Kum Kee management team and colleagues, together with over a hundred business partners and distributors from Taiwan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Hong Kong participated in the event. To welcome guests from all over the world, Lee Kum Kee hosted a Welcome Dinner on April 19 at Yijinyuan which serves modernized Muslim cuisine.

Through supporting and organizing different chefs programmes, Lee Kum Kee has been working closely with CCA in promoting Chinese cuisines. With its continuous support of the Chinese foodservice industry, Lee Kum Kee was awarded ¡§Outstanding Supplier of Sauces & Condiments of China Foodservice Industry¡¨. Mr. M. T. Lee, Group Chairman of Lee Kum Kee, was granted the honourable award of ¡§CCA Special Contribution Award¡¨ and was also interviewed by China Central TV. CCA¡¦s closing luncheon was held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

A Cultural & Culinary Tour

To enhance customers¡¦ understanding of the latest trend and development of Chinese cuisines in Beijing, the Lee Kum Kee delegation had enjoyed Lu Cuisine (Shandong Cuisine) at Tiandi Yijia and Huaiyang Cuisine at CPPCC Restaurant. Lastly, the group also visited Tsinghua University and Lee Man Tat Bio-Medical Science Library.

After the Beijing trip, Mr. Eddy Lee, Company Chairman of Lee Kum Kee together with 40 overseas guests visited the Lee Kum Kee Sauce Plant and Nanfang Lee Kum Kee Health Product Plant in Xinhui. They also tasted a special menu prepared by using Lee Kum Kee soy sauce and other foodservice flagship products.

This trip was well received by our guests. It has not only showcased Lee Kum Kee¡¦s significant role in the Chinese foodservice industry, but also created opportunities for future partnerships in different countries.
